The BP-B547PW and BP-C542PW are the most advanced, secure and feature-rich A4 Printers in Sharp’s lineup

Sharp has launched new additions to its A4 printer range, which aim to provide connectivity, security and productivity for hybrid workforces where space is at a premium.

For hybrid workforces, productivity is key to its success. For those working outside the office, being able to connect with colleagues in real time is crucial for employees being able to work as effectively as possible.

With printers increasingly being networked and connected to a business’ cloud (or multiple clouds) they are an important part of this equation.

It is with this in mind that Sharp has launched new additions to its A4 printer range to enhance its growing range of products designed to meet the complex needs of modern workplaces.

The new product additions, the BP-B547PW A4 mono printer and the BP-C542PW A4 colour printer, are the most advanced, secure, and feature-rich A4 products in Sharp’s lineup, according to the manufacturer.

These complement Sharp’s existing range and the new models provide the brand’s latest high-performance features in a more compact A4 model, ideal for workplaces with limited space – as hybrid workspaces often have.

Enhanced connectivity for hybrid teams

With hybrid working now embedded in many workforces, along with cloud provision, businesses demand that devices used out of the office can seamlessly connect with colleagues – regardless of time or place – so that productivity can be maximised. Sharp’s new models offer easy access to several cloud services such as Microsoft Teams, Google Drive and Dropbox, enabling users to remotely access and manage their printing tasks from anywhere.

Robust security

But along with the growth in hybrid work has been a similar rise in cybersecurity threats, including to printers, which can be more vulnerable to a breach when not in the office if users are not diligent.

Sharp has accounted for this and its new A4 printers offer remote firmware updates to safeguard business security as well as optional Bitdefender anti-malware support that shields from network and data vulnerabilities, bringing peace of mind to users.

Virus scans are also scheduled daily by default, accompanying real-time scans on incoming or outgoing data.

Smart functionality for improved efficiency

Simplicity is also something that customers often look for in a printer, and Sharp has again looked to deliver. For instance, the new models feature Sharp’s latest-generation controller platform that improves and further enhances usability, performance and productivity.

The platform ensures a consistent user experience across all of Sharp’s models, making it easy for users to adapt to new products.

Supporting environmental goals

Of course, the printers have been designed with an eye on sustainability too. For instance, Sharp’s next-generation office A4 printers boast the same operability and high productivity as its A3 printers, while significantly improving power consumption compared to previous models.

“Our new A4 printers incorporate Sharp’s most advanced features to date, ensuring seamless connectivity, robust security, and unparalleled efficiency, all within a compact size suitable for any office,” says Ben Lake, senior product manager for MFP and printer products at Sharp Europe.

“The new models enhance our existing portfolio of MFP/printers and reinforces Sharp’s commitment to providing cutting-edge products and solutions to meet the evolving demands of modern workforces.”

The BP-B547WD/537WR, BP-B547PW, BP-C5xxWR/WD and BP-C542PW are available now for purchase from Sharp and its partners.
