Epson has launched two new flatbed scanners designed to provide high-quality, high-resolution everyday scanning at an affordable price for SMBs.
For the owners of small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), the business news in recent months has not made for pleasurable reading, with economic growth remaining slow, but costs for many continuing to rise.
This means that when purchasing new office equipment such as scanners, cost remains a significant consideration. While purchasers want high quality scanning at fast speeds, they also don’t want to pay a high price for it initially.
It is with this in mind that Epson has launched its WorkForce DS-1730 and DS-1760WN flatbed scanners. These new models are designed specifically for price-sensitive customers and cost-conscious industries, providing reliable high-quality scanning solutions that meet the needs of SMBs as well as small public offices.
Building on the success of the DS-1630 and DS-1660W models, the DS-1730 and DS-1760WN offer a range of improvements including the option of duplex scanning, faster scanning speeds and a sleek, compact design, delivering impressive performance and exceptional image quality at a competitive price point.

Key features of the WorkForce DS-1730 and DS-1760WN include flatbed scanning with duplex, which means they are ideal for handling non-standard or fragile documents. The scanners also provide options for automatic document feeding (ADF) and flatbed scanning, including the option of duplex scanning, ensuring versatility for various document types.
Also, with a scanning resolution of up to 1200dpi from the flatbed and 600dpi from the ADF, users can expect high-quality images that capture intricate details and produce professional results.
The DS-1760WN model also includes Wi-Fi and LAN capabilities, allowing multiple users to access the scanner from their workstations, enhancing productivity and cost-efficiency.
Ease of use has also been considered in the design of the scanners, given that SMBs often do not have tech specialists in their workforce. For instance, the DS-1760WN features an intuitive LCD touch panel for easy operation directly from the scanner, streamlining the workflow without the need for a PC.
In addition, mindful that space is often at a premium for SMBs, the scanners have a compact footprint.
