UK-based IT Services and Solutions provider boxxe has announced the acquisition of CAE Technology Services Limited, one of the UK’s leading Cisco partners, accelerating boxxe’s strategic positioning in the corporate market. CAE is a market leader in networking and security renowned for its deep technical expertise, extensive partner accreditations, and a long standing track record of industry awards and recognition.
Phil Doye steps up to become Group CEO and Hazel Sagar Group Chief Financial Officer in the combined company. CAE Technology Services Limited will continue to trade independently before being integrated into Boxxe Limited sometime in the next twelve months.
boxxe has seen rapid growth since Phil Doye acquired the business in 2019. The CAE acquisition will strengthen boxxe’s position as one of the UK’s largest providers of software, solutions and services to both the public and private sector.
boxxe’s capabilities within networking and security are strengthened by CAE’s partner accreditations which include being a Cisco Tier One Gold Partner and a Microsoft Tier One Cloud Solution Provider. In addition to its presence in the private sector, CAE has a strong customer base in the public sector, particularly within healthcare and education, that will benefit from the additional framework access and public sector expertise that boxxe provides.
Phil Doye said: “I have followed CAE for many years and continue to be impressed by the organisation’s market-leading practices in networking, security, and cloud infrastructure. CAE sets itself apart from the competition with its focus on customer outcomes driven by innovative solutions and managed services. CAE Labs is a great example of this, adding inhouse software development capability to enable customers to further transform their IT environments. boxxe has to deliver technology solutions that solve critical business challenges and propel our customers forward. This strategic acquisition enables us to do this more effectively. boxxe’s scale and broad portfolio of products and solutions will also bring greater value and relevance to CAE’s many customers.”
“We have known Phil since his time at Kelway and once we had decided to sell the business, we approached boxxe knowing that it would be a place where CAE could develop in this next chapter,” said Justin Harling, CEO at CAE.
Richard Behan, Chief Corporate Development Officer at CAE, said: “We have built a deep pool of technical talent and expertise at CAE and we look forward to delivering enhanced value through our solutions and services to boxxe’s many customers.”
Phil Doye added: “The deal complements boxxe’s acquisition of Total Computer Networks Limited, which was completed in January 2024. It is part of a wider plan to grow boxxe’s customer base in both the private and public sector and expand its solutions offerings.”
