Brother Refreshes A4 Inkjet Range in response to Increasing Demand

Brother UK has refreshed its A4 inkjet printer lineup to help resellers cope with the growing demand for small, reliable printers for small and home office users.

For many small business owners, or those who work in a home office, print is still an essential part of their working day and will continue to be.

Users in small/home offices want simplicity in their inkjet printers – reliable high-quality performance at an affordable price.

Brother UK has recognised this need and, to help resellers meet this increasing demand, it has refreshed its lineup of A4 Mini Business and Mini Regular inkjet printers.

The MFC-J4350DW and the MFC-J4550DW replace the vendor’s A4 Mini Business series that consists of the outgoing MFC-J4340DW and MFC-J4540DW devices. The new models feature 20ipm print speeds, automatic two-sided printing and support for 5GHz wireless connectivity, ensuring efficient performance in a range of office environments. Each device comes with 350 pages of black and colour ink in-box.

Straightforward option

Drilling down into the individual specifications of the devices, the MFC-J4350DW includes a 4.5cm LCD screen, 150-sheet front-loading paper tray with 20-sheet automatic document feeder (ADF) and 150-sheet paper output. The MFC-J4550DW builds on this with an upgraded 6.8cm LCD, dual paper trays offering a total input capacity of 400 sheets, wired LAN and USB support.

All four new A4 Mini Regular models – DCP-J1260W, DCP-J1310DW, DCP-J1360DW and DCP-J1460DW – feature 16ipm print speeds, two-sided printing (excluding the DCP-J1260W), flatbed scan and copy, 150-sheet paper input, 50-sheet paper output, USB and upgraded 5GHz wireless connectivity. Each model includes 200-page in-box inks and supports optional 500-page supplies, providing a consistent and efficient print experience across the range.

The DCP-J1260W offers an LED screen and omits two-sided printing, making it a more straightforward option for users with basic print needs. The DCP-J1310DW upgrades to a 4.5cm LCD with hard keys and introduces automatic two-sided print, while the DCP-J1360DW builds further with the same LCD and adds a 20-sheet ADF. At the top of the range, the DCP-J1460DW enhances usability with a larger 6.8cm LCD, making it best suited for users with more regular scanning and copying needs.

Sustainability

Sustainability is an issue for small businesses and home workers, and Brother UK has catered for that. For instance, the new devices will be sold in Brother UK’s new fully recyclable, non-polystyrene brown carboard packaging, helping businesses to comply with workplace recycling legislation and contribute to their sustainability goals.

In addition, users can return all used inkjet cartridges free of charge to be remanufactured. Last year, Brother became the first print vendor to remanufacture its inkjet cartridges, as part of a new service to help users contribute to circular economies.

Wider refresh

The launch of the new range forms part of a wider refresh of Brother’s inkjet portfolio over the next 18 months, which aims to help resellers respond to evolving demand for inkjet printing. It also follows the launch of Brother UK’s ‘tankbenefit’ range last month – see issue 28 of Print in the Channel for more on that – which saw the business enter the Western European refillable tank printer market for the first time.

“Partners can rely on us for being ‘At your side’ for a better choice when it comes to solving customer needs with the right product at the right spec – something that’s strengthened with our new inkjet ranges,” says Greig Millar, chief revenue officer at Brother UK. “From affordable home devices to more capable machines for small offices, we’re making it easier than ever to match customers with the right solution for their workstyles.

“Our updated A4 Mini Business and A4 Mini Regular series form part of a long-term commitment to being the most trusted print partner for small business and home customers alike.

“We also know that customers care about the bigger picture – sustainability, flexibility, value. These devices have been built with that future in mind. Whether it’s our recyclable packaging or our vision for circular print, we’re ready to help with solutions that meet consumer demand both now and in the long-term.”

The new A4 Mini Regular models replace the DCP-J1200W, DCP-J1050DW, DCP-J1140DW and MFC-J1010DW.

Resellers can access a full toolkit and product training through BrotherZone, including updated datasheets, campaign materials and further support.
