Brother UK has launched two upgraded models, completing the refresh of its professional A3 line-up that was begun last year that aims to help partners gain more opportunities in the SMB space.
For many small- to mid-market businesses, print is still a vital function. But, with economic times continuing to be tight, they are looking for increased speed and efficiency from their printers, especially A3 devices, to help boost productivity.
Printer manufacturers are alive to the ever-increasing demands of customers and are reacting to this. The latest is Brother UK, which has completed the refresh of its flagship X-Series A3 inkjet portfolio, introducing two upgraded models designed to help partners win more A3 business in busy SMB environments.
The upgraded MFC-J6975DW and MFC-J6977DW models strengthen Brother’s four-device professional A3 line-up, giving resellers a consistent, high-performance family of machines that span SOHO through to mid-market offices with regular A3 demands. The two new SMB models follow two SOHO X-Series models being upgraded in November last year.
Faster, better, stronger
With print speeds now reaching up to 31ipm – 50% faster than when the range first launched – alongside upgraded 1GB memory, the refreshed models are built to handle complex documents and multi-user environments with ease. Powered by Brother’s patented MAXIDRIVE print technology, they deliver fast, durable and professional colour output without compromising reliability.
Designed for offices where A3 is business-critical, both models offer print, copy, scan and fax functionality, an 8.8cm colour touchscreen and flexible connectivity including dual-band wireless (5GHz), Gigabit Ethernet and NFC – making them easy to deploy securely across modern networks.
In-box ink yields have been increased to reduce early interruptions, while optional high-yield cartridges deliver up to 12,000 black and 10,000 colour pages – helping customers achieve a lower total cost of ownership and fewer supply changes.
The devices are fully compatible with Brother’s Managed Print Services offering, delivering device uptime of up to 99.8% and automated supplies fulfilment. This allows partners to position A3 inkjet within recurring revenue models, providing customers with greater cost predictability and operational control.
Channel partners can also benefit from Brother’s 60-day X-Series sales incentive, earning £5 Love2Shop vouchers for completed BrotherZone training and £20 per unit sold, subject to relevant product training.
Unified proposition
The refresh will help resellers to meet the evolving requirements of customers, says Greig Millar, chief revenue officer at Brother UK. “The completion of the X-Series refresh gives partners a clear, unified A3 proposition – backed by consistent performance, competitive running costs and long-term platform stability,” he says. “It represents how we’re continuing to invest in the range to help partners meet the evolving needs of their SMB and SOHO customers.
“Partners and end-users can trust us to deliver beyond specs and speeds too, with new X-Series devices available with Managed Print Services.”
