Brother has refreshed its mono laser printer line-up with mobile connectivity as standard, aimed at small and home office users who want reliability and easy device management.
Hybrid working is an established part of working landscape and increasing numbers of businesses are embracing it – as well as the many start-up businesses that begin in a home office.
This is fuelling demand for connected printers with compact designs that are reliable but also easy to run and maintain – as there is likely no technical expertise on hand.
To cater for this market, Brother UK has launched a refreshed line-up of mono laser printers designed for home and small office environments.
The new devices – the HL-L1240W, DCP-L1640W and DCP-L1660W – are compact, Wi-Fi enabled models designed for one to two users, featuring high-yield toner options and mobile connectivity as standard. The range is aimed at customers looking for reliable, low-maintenance devices that are simple to set up and manage.
The new line-up completes Brother’s transition to a fully-connected mono laser portfolio, from its small office and home office range to its large enterprise devices.
Flexible options
These sleek, space-saving devices offer a seamless user experience with quick and intuitive setup, a variety of flexible connectivity options.
Mindful of the threats posed by cybercriminals, all the printers include robust, industry-standard security features.
Each device prints at up to 20 pages per minute, with a 150-sheet input tray and 50-sheet output capacity. The models also support USB and dual-band Wi-Fi (including 5GHz), and ship with a 350-page yield toner in-box. Optional high-yield cartridges are available, offering up to 4,000 pages per toner. An EcoPro trial is also included in the box with each model.
All three models offer the functionality to print directly from PC or mobile app, while the DC models also have the option to scan too.
All three printers have a small footprint, mindful of the shortage of space that many small office and home office workers have, so can be housed in a variety of spaces.
The DCP-L1660W introduces a 10-sheet automatic document feeder to Brother’s entry-level small and home office mono laser range for the first time, supporting more efficient multi-page scanning and copying for home and small office users.
The HL-L1240W is a single-function printer, while the DCP-L1640W and DCP-L1660W offer scan and copy functionality. The L1240W features an LED display and 64MB memory, while both DCP models include two-line LCD displays and 128MB memory.
In addition, the HL-L1240W has 5GHz Wi-Fi and USB connectivity, while the DCP models also offer fast ethernet connectivity.
Dependable solutions
The new printers have been launched to address customers demands. “This launch is about delivering dependable print solutions that customers can trust to work simply and consistently, whether they’re setting up at home,” says Greig Millar, chief revenue officer at Brother UK.
“Our partners have told us that transparent running costs, ease of use and reliable performance matter more than ever. These devices are built to remove hassle and earn long-term confidence.”
