HP Annual Sustainability Report
HP has published its FY25 Sustainability Progress Report.
Since 2016, HP have recycled over 1.2 million tons of hardware, supplies, and accessories. In addition, across HP’s personal systems and print portfolio HP have over 30% post-consumer recycled plastic content, contributing to 47% of HP’s product and packaging materials being sourced from recycled, reused, and renewable origins.
EcoVadis has awarded HP a Platinum medal for the 16th consecutive year, placing HP in the top 1% globally among more than 100,000 companies assessed.
Highlights from the report include:
- Nearly one-third recycled plastic in HP devices
In 2025, 31% of plastic in HP devices was recycled content. 54,210 tonnes of postconsumer recycled content plastic were used - 1.21 million tonnes recycled since 2016
By diverting electronic waste from landfill and recycling it, HP aim to support circularity and resilient economies. Since 2016, HP has recycled 1.21 million tonnes of hardware and supplies. - Nearly half of HP materials are reused, recycled, or renewable
In 2025, 47% of the 814,000 tonnes of materials used in HP products and packaging came from reused, recycled, or renewable sources, and 96% of HP home and office printers, desktops, notebooks, displays, and workstations shipped to customers contained recycled content. - 28% reduction in total carbon footprint since 2019
HP total carbon footprint was 16.4 million tonnes of CO2e in 2025, which is a 28% reduction since 2019. This includes a 44% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions from HP’s global operations. - 46% reduction in potable water withdrawal since 2015
Across HP global operations, HP has reduced potable water withdrawal by 46%, compared with 2015 - 91% of nonhazardous waste diverted from landfill
In 2025, HP’s own operations around the world diverted 91% of nonhazardous waste from landfill.
