Katun Europe launches Katun Collects recycling and core collection program

Katun Corporation has launched Katun Collects, a new core collection and recycling program for the European market. The initiative, developed in partnership with sustainability solutions provider, Close the Loop, represents a significant step forward in supporting Katun’s commitment to circular economy principles.

Katun Collects is designed to streamline the collection and responsible recycling of used toner cartridges, components, and core parts – including returns from Katun Arivia MFPs. By recovering valuable materials and reducing waste, the program plays a pivotal role in minimising environmental impact across the product lifecycle.

The program will initially be available to selected customers across Western Europe and the UK, with a focus on print and office technology industry partners. Plans for wider expansion across additional EMEA regions are already in development. Participating customers will be provided with the resources and support needed to return used products efficiently and responsibly.

“Sustainability is at the heart of our innovation strategy,” said Heidi Boller, Katun’s EMEA general manager. “With Katun Collects, we are not only reducing our environmental footprint but also creating a pathway for our customers to contribute to a more circular, sustainable future. Our partnership with Close the Loop ensures that collected materials are handled to the highest environmental standards.”

The Katun Collects program aims to recover more than 50 tons of used cartridges and components annually, of which the majority will be reused as remanufactured cartridges.
