Ricoh has announced plans to construct a new facility at its Atsugi Manufacturing Site in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, to accelerate the growth of its inkjet business and strengthen its supply capabilities to meet growing demand for high-quality inkjet heads. Construction is scheduled to begin in November 2026, with completion planned for the first half of fiscal 2028.
The new four-story facility will provide the capacity to more than double current inkjet head production over time. The gross floor area is estimated to be 39,000 square meters (approximately 420,000 square feet).

Producing inkjet heads requires micron-level precision, and the expertise and know-how of highly skilled technicians play a critical role in maintaining and continuously improving product quality. Building on this foundation, the new facility will consolidate manufacturing functions currently distributed across multiple buildings at the Atsugi Manufacturing Site and introduce automated production lines and robotics capable of flexibly producing a wide range of products, enabling high levels of productivity and operational flexibility.
Completion of the new facility is planned for first half of fiscal 2028.
