Zebra has recently unveiled three new solutions – the Zebra Kiosk System, Zebra Workcloud Actionable Intelligence 7.0, and the ET6x Windows rugged tablets – to help boost efficiency, customer experience and productivity across retail segments on the store floor, back-of-store or warehouse operations.
For retail operations, efficiency is key. Today, self-service operations can free up staff and time to focus on other duties, as well as providing convenience for customers.
To cater for this changing need in the sector, Zebra Technologies Corporation has unveiled a trio of solutions purpose-built for modern stores and their warehouse operations. The Zebra Kiosk System, Zebra’s next-gen Workcloud™ Actionable Intelligence 7.0, and the ET60W/ET65W Windows rugged tablets (ET6x Windows).
The solutions were launched at Zebra’s annual ZONE EMEA customer conference, which was held on 25-26 September in Birmingham. Zebra’s ZONE event helps retailers make an impact by bringing customers, partners and prospects together to share insights on the challenges and opportunities facing the industry. Combined with ZONE US, both events bring more than 350 customers and partners together.
“Our latest solutions elevate the customer experience for the modern store,” said Matthew Guiste, retail industry principal, Zebra Technologies. “The new Zebra Kiosk System brings flexible experiences to customers with self-serve, assisted check-out, and even digital signage.
“Workcloud Actionable Intelligence 7.0 leverages state-of-the-art AI and machine learning to expand data insights and accelerate workflow efficiency. And the ET6x Windows tablets boost worker productivity in back-of-store and retail warehouses.”
Elevating customer experiences with self-service
The Zebra Kiosk System is a comprehensive, modular solution designed to meet consumers’ and employees’ self-service needs in retail and other industries.
The KC50 Android Kiosk Computer, which is available with 15” and 22” screens, is the heart of the versatile Zebra Kiosk System. With tap-to-pay capability and support for all major payment terminals, it offers self-or-assisted checkout and natural language voice assistant for information lookup, enabling frontline associates to focus on higher-value tasks to enhance the customer experience.
It is powered by Qualcomm’s advanced chipset for premium connectivity and performance and built on Zebra’s Enterprise Android platform with Zebra Mobility DNA™, the KC50’s setup, security and management tools align with Zebra’s mobile computers for seamless user and administrative experiences. The Zebra Kiosk System also offers flexibility with versatile deployment and mounting options, and multiple configurations are possible by adding a barcode scanner, payment terminal, or TD50 15” touch display for a dual-display kiosk experience.
Automating workflows with actionable insights
The next generation update of Zebra Workcloud Actionable Intelligence 7.0 features a patent-pending, AI-based analytics platform built for the modern store. Optimised for big data and modern usability with a cloud-native backend, Zebra Workcloud Actionable Intelligence 7.0 is powered by Google Cloud. Its new serverless query engine delivers best-in-class speed and performance.
Version 7.0 enhances efficiency by providing users with a faster, better way to uncover hidden anomalies and opportunities in their data – beyond what’s humanly detectable. Workcloud Actionable Intelligence 7.0 also automates data analysis, task assignment, and action verification, and it evaluates every action to streamline workflows and increase productivity.
Enhancing worker productivity and user experience
Built on Intel’s Core Ultra platform including a dedicated Neural Processing Unit, the ET60W/ET65W power new AI acceleration capabilities. This extends Zebra’s rugged tablet expertise to Windows-based users across retail warehouse operations, transportation and logistics, manufacturing, government/public safety and field services.
With a new AI-enabled advanced touchscreen, the ET6x Windows rugged tablets improve accuracy and performance, automatically detecting users’ touch – even with gloves on – and adjusting the display settings for increased productivity and efficiency. AI-powered audio provides better quality and noise suppression so workers can interact with voice-enabled applications, including Zebra Workcloud Communication.
The ET60W/ET65W provide worker flexibility, converting to a laptop or vehicle-mounted computer. Additionally, the new Zebra Control Hub for Windows offers seamless configuration, allowing workers and IT to access and select tablet settings from a single application.
