Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK) Ltd and its managed print partner Paradigm Business Solutions Ltd have delivered SL Environmental Ltd with a document digitalisation solution that addresses its paper document storage needs, while ensuring full data security and rapid retrieval.
The nationwide specialist asbestos removal and surveying contractor can generate up to 1,000 document pages for a single project, which the company is required to retain for 40 years. Consequently, the company had accumulated 200 filing cabinets full of paper documentation.
To overcome the physical storage and document retrieval challenges faced by SL Environmental, Paradigm recommended Konica Minolta’s bizhub C360i multifunctional print device (MFD) in combination with the Filestar Document Management software, to begin a new process of document digitisation. Today, new documents are scanned and securely stored in a single cloud-based repository, reducing the need to retain paper. The SL Environmental team can search and retrieve documents in minutes using keywords, tags or metadata, instead of trawling through filing cabinets.
