CDP Supplier Engagement Assessment 2025
CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project) is a UK-based non-profit organisation. CDP’s annual Supplier Engagement Assessment, known as CDP’s Supplier Engagement Rating, evaluates corporate supply chain engagement on climate issues.
This assessment is based on the information reported by companies in their CDP response, and evaluated under the criteria of the Supplier Engagement Assessment Methodology. Ratings include the effective engagement of company suppliers on climate change.
Canon Inc.

Canon has also set science-based GHG emissions reduction targets in line with SBTi standards: by 2030, a 42% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions and a 25% reduction in Scope 3 emissions (category 1 and 11) compared to 2022 levels. The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is a global initiative that encourages companies to set GHG reduction targets based on climate science. It is jointly operated by the UN Global Compact, World Resources Institute, World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), and the CDP.

It is also a testament to our efforts to advance decarbonization across the supply chain through energy-efficient products and solutions, supplier briefing sessions and requests that key suppliers set medium- to long-term greenhouse gas reduction targets. We will continue to strengthen collaboration and accelerate climate action across the entire value chain.”
