Seiko Epson Corporation has announced a series of executive personnel changes as it looks to strengthen its leadership team and deliver the first phase of its new Mid-Term Business Plan.
The changes, approved by Epson’s board of directors, will take effect on 1 October 2026 and are intended to support the company’s progress towards its long-term ENGINEERED FUTURE 2035 strategy.
Among the changes, Tsutomu Norimatsu will become chairman of Miyazaki Epson Corporation. He will continue as his current position as chief operating officer of Epson’s Microdevices Operations Division, while continuing to serve as an executive officer.
Takahiro Kamijo will become deputy chief operating officer of the Microdevices Operations Division. He will continue as an executive officer and continue his existing roles as deputy chief operating officer of the IJS Operations Division, deputy general administrative manager of the Production Management Division and deputy head of the Advanced MEMS & Device Technology Center.
Epson has also confirmed changes relating to Epson Sales Japan Corporation, which is being renamed Epson Japan Corporation from 1 October 2026, following an announcement made in March.
Haruo Kuribayashi will continue to lead the business as president of the newly named Epson Japan Corporation, having previously served as president of Epson Sales Japan Corporation. He will also continue as an executive officer of Seiko Epson.
Masaharu Mizukami will similarly continue as vice president of the renamed Epson Japan Corporation, having held the same position at Epson Sales Japan Corporation. He will also remain an executive officer.
In addition, Tomoo Takaso will retire from his position as professional officer in charge of specific projects within Epson’s Corporate Strategy Division.
