Guided by their commitment, “Committed to People, Committed to the Future,” Toshiba Tec in Europe has a new partnership with CleanHub, an Berlin-based company focused on preventing plastic waste from entering the oceans.
Through this collaboration, Toshiba Tec is supporting CleanHub’s mission to prevent 10 million tonnes of mismanaged plastic waste by 2030. CleanHub specialises in setting up collection points in high-risk coastal regions, mainly in South and Southeast Asia, to intercept plastic waste before it reaches the ocean. To date, CleanHub has recovered more than 8 million kilograms of plastic waste.
As part of Toshiba Group’s Environmental Future Vision 2050, Toshiba Tec has committed to achieving carbon neutrality across its value chain by 2050. This vision is grounded in three pillars:

By collaborating with local communities, CleanHub protects the environment and creates dignified work opportunities for over 100,000 households in underserved areas. Their work contributes to breaking the social stigma around waste management and ensuring that collected plastic is processed sustainably and responsibly.
