Today, HP announced the appointment of Neil Sawyer as Senior Vice President and Managing Director for HP EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), leading the company’s business and commercial operations across the region.
Previously Neil led HP’s Northern Europe business and he brings extensive leadership experience across HP’s commercial, category, sales, and channel organisations to his new role. Neil has played a key role in driving the company’s focus on enterprise AI adoption, workforce transformation, infrastructure readiness, and future-of-work solutions across the region.
As Neil steps into this expanded EMEA leadership role, his focus will include:
- helping organisations navigate the next phase of enterprise AI adoption
- balancing infrastructure investment with practical business outcomes
- workforce transformation
- operational readiness, and
- long-term growth across the region.

Neil Sawyer will be replacing Helena Herrero Starkie, who has decided to retire. Commenting on Helena’s decision, David McQuarrie, Chief Commercial Officer at HP has commented on social media:
